Job Description:
-Develop, implement, execute, and oversee public relations plans to coincide with overall marketing strategy and maximize the public presence of the Stewart Entertainment roster through the web, print, radio, and TV.

Identify opportunities and generate ideas for media coverage and pitch ideas to appropriate media outlets-
• Work with talent bookers to secure TV appearances (Conan, Fallon, Kimmel, Meyers, Ellen etc) for Stewart Entertainment’s bands
• Work with media contacts to place stories in both national and regional print, and online outlets
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with media contacts at blogs, print, and TV (Pitchfork, Stereogum, Rolling Stone, NPR, SPIN, Billboard, Idolator, Complex, Relix, Hypem, LA Times, NY Times, Nylon, Vice/Noisey, MTV, Fallon, Conan, Meyers, Kimmel etc)
• Create and execute timeline for content placement- place album streams, videos, remixes, and tracks with premiere partners
• Liaise with independent publicity firms and oversee outside publicity campaigns
• Oversee production of all press releases and tour press pitches
• Maintain database of key media contacts
• Maintain schedules for all bands on tour, at festivals, and throughout the cycle of each album’s release
• Provide weekly updates to managers and Stewart Entertainment staff
• Provide media training for bands and artists as needed
• Oversee internal communications to ensure staff is aware of any media placement

JOB PURPOSE - To manage the day to day operations of Stewart Entertainment Publishing shaping of the company’s publishing division and the catalog that it represents.

Devise and develop new clients and placements that will contribute to the artist’s career and the Company’s profitability in particular.

Responsible for selling the copyrights of our catalog to be used in a commercial way that is in line with the artist and clients goals.

Prepare publishing plan, Implementing and maintaining an on‐going relationship with old and new publications that supports the goals of the client.

Raise the profile of the Publishing Company within the music industry worldwide.

Facilitate the best possible relationships with people and institutions within the industry and music education and to encourage the involvement of the highest quality collaborators in our field.

Internally, responsible for being the main liaison with Stewart Entertainment staff at all levels and on all issues regarding publishing.

Externally, responsible for the key relationship with our distributors, trade outlets, with music industry bodies, and with various commercial and non‐commercial organizations.

Training, motivating and developing other publishing agents.

Making sure the music and metadata are technically correct and ensuring there is no copyright infringement and/or unauthorized use of the material.

Prepare printed music (sheet music, songbooks, etc.) and have it distributed.

In charge of collecting fees for song usage or royalties from a variety of sources (performance fees from when the song is played on the radio or on TV, mechanical royalties from when the song is sold, printed edition royalties from songbooks and sheet music, synchronization fees if a song is played in a movie, and ancillary income from commercials, ads, toys, clothing, etc.)
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR A FULLY ACCEPTABLE PERFORMANCE
Key attributes are a comprehensive knowledge of music in all forms; skills in managing people, processes, planning and finance; experience in the publishing industry; awareness of educational developments.
Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree and experience in the music industry and/or music publishing required. Copyright law experience and/or management experience is recommended.
